Week 1, June 24-28: Soccer World Cup (ILA Instructor)

Ages: 3-6 years old

ILA Soccer Camp Program will feature fun exercises and activities designed to develop basic technical skills and build a love for the game. The focus will be on dribbling, passing, controlling,and shooting the ball to score goals. Sportsmanship, teamwork, respect for others, and the love of football will be the main objectives of the camp. Participants will play a ''world cup championship.''

Week 1, June 24-28: Climbing Camp (ILA Instructor)

Ages: 5 and up

Located at the Circuit Gym, one of the largest Bouldering Gyms in the world. "Mini Monkeys" will focus on social games, while the "Short Circuits" will learn basic climbing technique and how to follow a bouldering route. Snack by the Willamette River and lunch at the park. Public transportation.

Week 2, July 1-5: (no class July 4th) The Movement Space Arts Camp (Preschool Teacher Debbie)

Ages : 3-6 years old

Explore, Experience, and Create in a Flexible and Playful Atmosphere.

The focus of the program is to provide students with a well-rounded experience and exposure to the arts while nurturing individual confidence and expression. Week 2, July 1-5: (no class July 4th) Baking Camp ( ILA Chef )

Ages : 7 and up

This four-day baking camp is perfect for 7+ years old interested in becoming outstanding pastry chefs! From homemade ice cream to buttery scones, cookies to cupcakes. By the end of the week, they'll learn all the classics, building on your advancements each day to create an impressive body of baking and dessert knowledge. Plus, every day ends with plenty of sweet treats to bring home.

Week 3, July 8- 12: Cooking Camp (ILA teacher Carine)

Ages : 3-6 years old

The week is focused around fresh, healthy, simple foods with hands on assembly that inspires the kids to be creative and adventurous with their palate..

Week 3, July 8 -12: Mad Science (Secret Agent Lab and Rocket Lab)

Ages : 7 and up

Secret Agent Lab IN THE MORNING Look out 007—the Mad Science Secret Agent Lab is in session! Step into the shoes of a spy in action from decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision. Campers will have the opportunity to check out spy equipment and even create their own edible message! Campers will use discover how to communicate stealthily like real spies.

Rocket Lab IN THE AFTERNOON
 3...2...1... Blast Off! This camp is rockets, rockets and more rockets! Build and launch a rocket everyday as you learn all about, you guessed it, rockets! Your child is in for an action-packed week focused entirely on rockets and the physics of rocket flight! Campers will learn the importance of teamwork in launching rockets and will have the opportunity to try their hand at each role!

Week 4, July 15-19: A Puppet A Day (ILA Teacher Marc)

Ages: 3-6 years old

Treat your child to the wonderful world of puppet-making (and to the special comedic and musical gifts of Mr. Marc)! Each day the children will make a new puppet from everyday objects, learn how to make it "come alive," and then use it to invent and act out theatrical and musical roles with each other.

Week 5, July 22-26: Ballet, Hula and Costume Making (Miss Ella)

Ages: 3 to 6 years old

This week-long intensive camp for 3-6 year olds will focus on two dance styles and their cultural backgrounds. Each morning will begin with a 45 min ballet class where we warm-up our bodies, strengthen our core, and practice basic ballet technique, all using playful activities. After the movement section will be a cultural exploration of ballet followed by snack time. The second half of the day will include another 45 min dance section on Hula. This will be followed by a cultural section which will include costume making, coloring and painting, watching short videos related to the dance, learning chants, and group discussions. Students should come in shirts with either leggings or shorts so they can move easily throughout the day. Please no leotards or cumbersome clothing. At the end of the week will be a small hula performance.

Ages : 7 and up

Learn about our beautiful and varied regions of France, including their rich traditions of music, folklore, sports, costumes, cuisine, and more.

Week 6, July 29-Aug 2: Composition 101: From Scartch to Performance

Ages: 7 and up

Students will spend the week composing an original piece of music They will learn the step-by-step creative process for creating music and have the opportunity to experiment with different types of instruments and singing. All the students will have the chance to contribute to and perform in the final performance.

Week 7, Aug 5-9: Art and Crafts ( ILA Preschool Teacher Carine)

Ages: 3-6 years old

Explore a rotating catalogue of art & craft media, art-related stories, games and construction toys. Imaginative open-ended activities stimulate children's creativity and encourage independent thinking!

Week 7, Aug 5-9: Fairytales ( ILA Teacher Marc)

Ages: 7 and up

Students will use French sounds, syllables and words to create songs inspired by fairytales. Students will learn about different styles of music from around the world. They will develop their sense of music and practice improvisation through games, music, percussion, dance and songs.

Week 8, Aug 12-16: Art and Crafts ( ILA Teacher Carine)

Ages: 7 and up

Students will learn about different artists such as Warhol, Gerhard Richter or Monet. "En Plein Air" painting, working with clay, and other fun art projects are all part of the week.

Week 9, Aug 19-23: Back on Track Routine (ILA Teachers)

All Ages

Morning :Review your academics before the year begins! Students review previous years coursework to ease them back into the routine of mental stimulation that comes with a new school year. Some reading, writing, spelling and math will be offered to smoothly to start a new school year.    

Afternoon: Music and Physical Activities. We will learn through movement the structure of a musical piece. Explore the unlimited possibilities!
